About Our Kids Ministry

Our children’s ministry is committed to “reaching and teaching” the children of the new millennium and partnering with parents to “train up a child in the way he should go” (Proverbs 22:6). Children’s Church is about presenting the Word of God to children in an exciting manner that leads them not only to salvation but also guides them in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

The staff and volunteers of Children’s Church are dedicated to providing a safe, fun, and innovative environment for children to grow in the knowledge of God’s Word, His principles and character. They also provide the loving and nurturing care that is necessary for a child’s spiritual and emotional growth, focusing on being a genuine expression of Christ’s love.

Understanding the culture and the environment that our children are growing up in, Children’s Church is striving towards raising a generation of children that will impact our world. “Mentoring through ministry” is a proactive approach to disciple and train children for life through ministry opportunities, which promotes “children ministering to children.” Other ministry opportunities both in and outside of the church are also offered, as well as special events, activities, camps, and retreats; all specifically designed to teach through relationship building.

Saturday Evening Service Schedule (5:00 PM)

Nursery (6-24 months old): Nursery Room, Coastal Church building

Ages 2-7: Preschool Room, Coastal Church building.

Sunday morning services (9:30 AM, 11:00 AM):

Nursery (6-12 months old): Nursery Room, Coastal Church building

Walkers (12-24 months old): North Preschool Room, Coastal Church Building

Toddlers (2-3 years old): South Preschool Room, Coastal Church Building

Preschool (4-5-K years old): Coastal Church Alberni Offices (2nd Floor), 1166 Alberni Street

School age (Grades 1-5): Coastal Church Alberni Offices (2nd Floor), 1166 Alberni Street

Sunday afternoon service (12:30 PM):

Nursery (6 months to 2 years old): Nursery Room, Coastal Church building

Pre-school (2-5 years): South Preschool Room, Coastal Church Building

School age (Grades 1-5): Coastal Church Alberni Offices (2nd Floor), 1166 Alberni Street

Pick up and drop off times will be as follows:

For the 9:30 AM service time:
Drop off will be between 9:15 and 9:40 AM. Pick up will be between 10:45 and 11:10 AM

For the 11:00 AM service time:
Drop off will be between 10:45 and 11:10 AM. Pick up will be between 12:15 and 12:40 PM

For the 12:30 PM service time:
Drop off will be between 12:15 and 12:40 PM. Pick up will be between 1:30 and 2:00 PM

* There will not be access to the 2nd floor after 2:00 PM
* Please be prompt in picking up following the 12:30 PM service.
* Please note that there will always be someone available to let you up to the 2nd floor of the building should you need access to your children during service times.
