Listed below are several local missions partners in the community that Coastal Church has linked arms with and purposed to support. There are several individual and group volunteer opportunities available with these organizations. Each organization will have different needs and requirements. If you are interested in volunteering with any of these organizations then we encourage you to contact the church or the organization for more information.

HARO PARK CENTRE (Senior Centre)
1233 Haro Street, Vancouver, BC V6E 3Y5
Who: Anyone interested volunteering with Seniors
When: Once a month on Sunday
What: Coastal Church conducts a brief service for senior residents. Everyone is welcome to volunteer by:
- Socializing with, inviting and assisting senior residents to the service is the chapel,
- Leading praise and worship on piano or guitar

HEALTH AND HOME CARE SOCIETY OF BC

Who: Anyone interestd in volunteering with seniors
When: Once a week
What: Health and Home Care Society needs drivers, cyclist and servers to volunteer 2 hours once a week to deliver meals. Volunteers are also needed for recreational activities to brighten up the day of a senior
Other Requirements:
- 18 years of age or older
- Excellent communication skills
- Comfortable working with seniors
- Willing to complete a police record check
- Willing to provide 2 references
- Valid driver license (MOW volunteer drivers only)
- Valid auto insurance with a minimum of $1,000,000 third party liability (MOW volunteer drivers only)

ST. LEONARD'S SOCIETY AND VANCOUVER COMMUNITY CORRECTIONS VOLUNTEER PROGRAM
Who: Anyone who is interested in helping mentor others
When: As per organization's needs
What: The organization is looking for mature, non-judgemental and motivated individuals to assist in their one on one adult mentoring program. Volunteers assist in goal setting, encourage socialization and provide emotional and spiritual support.

UNION GOSPEL MISSION

Who: Anyone who like to help the homeless
When: As per UGM requests
What: UGM gives hope for the hungry, hurting and homeless in Vancouver by providing regular meals, emergency shelters, chapel services, educational programs, residental alcohol & drug recovery programs, etc. You can volunteer by helping in the kitchen, greeting at the chapel, serving at the drop-in centre, and providing general help. Please note that you will be required to attend a Volunteer Orientation meeting.

What: The GVFB Provides food and related assistance to those in need. You can be involved by helping in the warehouse and depots for special events and team building.
